A wall was built around Beaurepaire around 1500 This gate shows the arms of the see of Durham. Unfortunately no one knows where the gate is now

Not a lot of the Chapel remains, where it once stood is now a ploughed field. In this view you can see where the altar would have been compared to the sink where the priest would have washed sacred vessels. Raised well above the congregation the Priest would have felt and was quite powerful.
